MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. He has made major global inroads into the Latin pop culture. In 2017, his 2016 hit Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. His debut album ADN was made available through La Industria Inc., which is a Medellin-based Sony distribution firm. It reached the number 8 spot on the Top Latin Albums chart. Vaina Loca is the Top Five hit of Ozuna's Top Five album in 2007 was the album that brought him into Ozuna. The group released Dopamina, his chart-topping sophomore album in the years following. In 2021 he recorded the duet to TINI's smash song Maldita Foto. The smash hit La Bachata from 2000 was published in 2023. Turizo is a product of a household of music his mother and older brother are musicians. In interviews, Turizo said that music is a must. He began playing the guitar, saxophone Ukulele, and piano while an infant. In spite of initially wanting to work as a vet, Julian convinced him that having lessons from a Cuban music teacher could change the direction of his profession.
